COVID-19 has proved challenging for holding events of this nature, but plans are being put in place to still have an impact on our community the best we can through these challenging times. After a week of collecting cans from various members of the community, the chapter collected over 1,500 pounds of canned food for the Tarrant County Food Bank. Under Addison’s leadership, the chapter started a can drive within the TCU community in order to collect canned food to be donated to the Tarrant County Food Bank. In the spring of 2019, the chapter elected Addison Smith (current Vice President) to lead a driven and collaborative philanthropic initiative in our community. We are taking the same attitude and determination in our studies into the fall semester and will continue striving towards excellence.
The chapter persevered through the constantly changing and difficult format of online learning and came out on top with a spectacular academic performance. Leo Franques was elected to this position and did a tremendous job leading from a distance while always offering his support to those seeking it.Īlthough this past semester looked a little bit different given COVID-19, there were still challenges academically nevertheless.
The current President, Quinn Boyd, decided to resurrect the “Academic Chairman” position in the fraternity in hopes to help lead our new members or those struggling in developing good study habits and staying on top of their workload. In the Spring of 2020, the chapter had one of the best academic performances in the past 20 years.
