Also known as black cod, Sablefish is a mild-flavored white fish. Many seafood lovers misuse the name “Cod” when referring to Sablefish–including my husband 😂 Unfortunately for Sablefish, its nickname is “Blackcod,” which leads many to believe that it is a member of the Cod family.
