This came off as weird, as not only is this one of the PSX's most graphically intensive games, but it also has a 60FPS lock.Īnyways, do you have any straegies for getting through the game with little hassle? My party currently consists of Serge, Razzly and Pip, and I hope to get the whole party to survive more frequently in boss battles to get the benefits of growth levels on all characters.

Turns out, Chrono Cross is actually capped at full 60FPS, in overworlds, battles, and menus.
On the emulator I picked however? There is an overclocking feature, and when I went up to 3x clock speed, things got interesting. Saw some gameplay videos before playing it myself, and the one thing that bothered me, is that it TRIED to keep a high FPS, but dropped down a lot in basically every situation. I downloaded disc 1 of Chrono Cross, had a lot of difficulty setting it up, but once I did, it was worth it. How did I get into this game? I decided to get a PSX emulator from here:
